The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission plans to deregister approximately 800 000 non-compliant companies

CIPC is planning to deregister all companies, that are not compliant, due to

1. Failure to Submit Annual Returns – If a company fails to file its annual returns for two or more consecutive years,

2. Failure to submit the beneficial ownership– If a company fails to submit the beneficial ownership latest one year after registration.

3. Failure to Respond to CIPC Notices – If the CIPC requests updated information or compliance documents and the company does not respond
