Support for the Clothing, Textiles, Footwear & Leather Industry

The IDC offers support to the Clothing, Textiles, Footwear & Leather Industry with its CTFLGP.

Qualifying applicants should manufacture products that undergo a value-adding manufacturing process and form part of one or more of the following processes:

• Clothing manufacturing.

• Textile manufacturing.

• Cut, Make and Trim (CMT) operators in the manufacturing processes mentioned.

• Footwear manufacturing.

• Leather goods manufacturing, and

• Leather processing (specifically for the Leather Goods and Footwear Industries and automotive leather industry)

The IDC developed 4 different funds

• Programme A: Competitiveness Improvement - interest-free loan with up to 50% as a grant

• Programme B: Expansionary Working Capital - interest-free loan over 5 years for up to R 10 million

• Programme C: Start-up Funding - interest-free loan, up to R 5 million, with up to 75% as a grant,

• Programme D: Cluster Funding
