🚀 Critical Infrastructure Programme from DTIC 🛢️
Let us help you to apply for this grant!
Dear Successful Entrepreneur!
Are you interested in exploring the opportunities provided by the Critical Infrastructure Programme (CIP)? The CIP, managed by the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (DTIC), is a valuable resource for businesses seeking financial support for critical infrastructure projects that facilitate future investments. We offer our services to assist you in securing the CIP grant.
The CIP has recently undergone significant changes, effective May 2021, broadening the range of eligible infrastructure projects. These now include infrastructure aimed at addressing the economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, green and sustainable energy infrastructure, film and cinema infrastructure, as well as strategic infrastructure feasibility studies, which encompass pilot plants. Under the amended guidelines, applicants are required to have a minimum BEE contribution level of 6 during both the application and claim stages, compared to the previous requirement of level 4.
Key Features of the Critical Infrastructure Programme Support:
Grant Cap: The CIP grant is capped at R50 million.
Investment Support: The program provides financial assistance ranging from 10% to 30% for critical infrastructure investments.
Feasibility Studies: It offers substantial support, up to 60% (80% within SEZs), for strategic infrastructure feasibility studies.
Film and Cinema Infrastructure: Eligible projects can receive 30% support.
Distressed Municipalities: Applications from distressed municipalities may be eligible for support as high as 100%.
Infrastructure is deemed critical if it is essential for the realisation or optimal operation of an investment project. This encompasses structural foundations or permanent network facilities that provide essential services to businesses and society at large, such as transport, electricity, water, sanitation, telecommunications, and more. Examples include roads, bulk water infrastructure, energy generation projects aimed at reducing dependency on the national grid, shared wash or processing plants related to mining beneficiation operations, as well as shared silos, irrigation systems, cold storage, and reservoirs linked to agro-processing.
Before submitting an application, it's important to note that a complete application form, along with all supporting documents, must be submitted. Additionally, a CIP site visit is required before construction can commence on the project. Furthermore, applicants should ensure they possess all the necessary permits from relevant authorities, a tax clearance, a BEE certificate, and other standard compliance documentation.
We are ready to assist you in navigating the requirements and maximizing your chances of success. Let us help you secure the CIP grant and unlock the potential for your infrastructure project. Contact us today to learn more about our services and get started on your application.
